cant duel ? dont worry:-
-Learn the three types of cards: Monster, Spell/Magic, and Traps Monster Cards - These cards are usually light/dark brown colored. Some cards may be purple (Fusion Cards), blue (Ritual Cards) or white (Synchro cards). They are a valuable part of the game and are needed in all decks. Each Monster Card has a level, attribute, type, attack and defense points. Spell/Magic Cards - These cards are teal colored. These cards are necessary in the game as their effects could help you out or disrupt your opponent. Equip cards are spell cards that are equipped to Monster Cards to give them a boost or a certain effect. Quick play cards are spell cards that are able to be played during your opponent's turn after being set or from your hand during your turn. Ritual spell cards are used to summon a Ritual Monster. Field spell cards are cards that are set in the Field Zone, which usually give a boost to a specific type/attribute of all cards on the field. Continuous spell cards are magic cards that remain in the "Spell/Trap Zone". Trap Cards - These cards are purple colored. The cards are commonly used to provide a defense during your opponent's turn. Trap cards are set during your turn, but they can only be activated on after the End Phase of the turn it was set or through a chain. -Build a deck of Yu Gi Oh cards. -Find an opponent to battle. -Decide the number of life points each person will start with. -Determine who goes first through a coin-toss or rock-paper-scissors. -Each player draws five cards. -The first player begins the duel in the Draw Phase, where the player would draw a card from their deck. -Next is the Standby Phase. This is just for the effects of cards that say, "During your Standby Phase, . . ." -10The duel really begins in the Main Phase 1. In the Main Phase, the player is able to summon/set one monster, and is also able to set down any Spell/Trap Cards (Maximum of 5). Summoning a Monster Card is determined by its "Level" (Located near the right hand corner of the monster card). Some monsters may require a Tribute (A monster(s) from your side of the field that is sent to the graveyard). Four or below stars - Monster is allowed to be set with no Tributes Five or Six stars - Monster requires one Tribute Seven and up (some monsters have ten stars!) Stars - Monster requires two Tributes -The second player now takes his first turn consisting of Draw Phase, Standby Phase, and Main Phase 1. -Beginning with the second turn, after Main Phase 1, the player has the option to head into the Battle phase. This is when the player can attack with his/her monsters. If the Attack Points (Located in the bottom right corner of the Monster card) of the player's monster are greater than the Attack or Defense Points of the opponent's monster, the monster is sent to the graveyard. If the monster was in Attack mode, with a higher attack, the difference of the Attack Points are deducted from your opponent's life points. If the monster was in Defense mode, there are no reductions, unless by a card effect or with monsters that have the "piercing" effect ("If a monster's attack is higher than the defense of the monster it is attacking, inflict the difference as battle damage to your opponents life points"). If your monster's Attack Points are less than the opponent's monster's attack points, the difference is deducted from your Life Points. If your opponent's monster was in Attack mode, your monster is destroyed. If your opponent's monster was in Defense mode, then your monster is not destroyed, unless with a card effect. -After Battle Phase, the player has the option to go into Main Phase 2. This is when the player is allowed to set down any Spell/Trap cards or switch their monster's position. (Note: A Monster's position can not be changed if it was summoned that turn or if it had attacked during Battle Phase) -Continue the Steps until a player's Life Points reaches 0000 or a player is unable to draw any more cards from his/her Deck.
